Biggrin Probably you were already a programmer, i just finished to read the php manual with variables and couple of functions Biggrin I find xtreads not like something fancy but something very useful for my needs this is why i need to understand it , soon or later Biggrin.
I've thought about whether I should automatically display thread fields somewhere so that, for basic applications, it automatically shows up.
Right now, XThreads is pretty useless without any template modifications whatsoever.
In postbit_first, Yumi?
It would probably be in showthread due to the fact that XThreads does not create a postbit_first template.  Also possibly in the forumdisplay threadlist.
Just wondering whether I should really do it though... >_>

(thanks for suggestion Tongue)
Is an idea in the activation routine to create a settings group? In that settings group you could have the option show XThreads default threadfields settings in

New Thread
Showthread
Forum display threadlist

That way less experienced users could choose.
I started from yesterday to work for a classified applications with xthreads BiggrinBiggrin I guess it will look very rude regarding listed ads on threads.

I'm not quite sure what you mean?
Well rateu , after the members submission , i think the ads should be publish in the thread with :
ad1
ad2
ad3
ad4
Or should i make categories for each ad.
I was talking about the rude way for displaying ads into thread without any template modification, nothing good-looking. (yet) Biggrin

I'm somewhat avoiding a settings group with this plugin for unknown reasons.
But it'll most likely be an expansion of the "Hide Input Row" option, which will probably change to a "Hide on" setting where you choose where it's hidden by default (showthread, forumdislplay, newthread, editpost, forumdisplay sorter listbox).
Yumi, I want to ask something.
Is there any reason why XThreads not enabling conditional globally (in template) if a user install XThreads but doesn't have Template Conditional or PHP In Template plugin installed?
I think (my personal opinion), XThreads and conditional is an amazing combo Biggrin
But I don't know much about performance if this is the reason.

@ Kitten: Do you mean by the Thread is showthread or forumdisplay_thread?
I'm really sorry, I can't give much opinion about the categories, because I don't know the system of your classified applications Biggrin
