It's probably fine to use, although I don't officially recommend it at this stage.
Probably fine is good with me. Much better then, "Boy, you going to mess some shit up with this"
I've decided to release the current GitHub version, as it generally seems to work fine. Absolutely no changes have been made since the last commit about 2 months ago, so if you're already using the GitHub version, you don't need to update.
Changes:
- support multipart extensions (eg .tar.gz) (thanks to DamYan for the suggestion)
- make URI filtering regexes more accurate
- use select boxes (instead of a text box) for Default thread filter option in ACP
- disable JPEG interlacing as suggested by leefish
- added support for MyBB 1.8; thanks to those that have tested and reported back!
Note for upgrading MyBB 1.6 to 1.8: if you have an existing XThreads install on 1.6, the
showthread template is not updated when you move to 1.8.
This only affects the {$threadfields_display} variable that XThreads adds to this template - if you don't use it (I presume many of you don't), you don't have to worry about this note. The MyBB updater runs separately from the XThreads updater, and this template has changed quite a bit from 1.6 to 1.8, so you'll need to manually put the variable back in. You can either deactive and reactivate (NOT uninstall/install) the plugin (this may cause some loss to template changes) or insert the variable in the appropriate place.
Thank you very much, installing to my 1.8 build now (along with template conditionals
)
Oh yeah, realy nice, thanks.
Option "Show first post on every showthread page", is there a way to set custom background for sticky first posts?
Very Nice plugin! A lifesaver for sure!

You'd need to exploit the postbit_first template.
Alternatively, Template Conditionals may be enable you to do that.
It in fact may be possible not to need any of these, by exploiting CSS classes - I can't remember off the top of my head if that's possible though.
Xthreads is working fine with 1.8.
brilliant plugin yumi
I'm using XThreads v1.47 on MyBB v1.6.10. Shall I upgrade first MyBB to 1.8 or XThreads to v1.64?
