I think that would work fine but would I be able to have multiple images and in only 2 out of 15 forums?
You can use template conditional for that.
Or, you can use XThreads template prefix for those forums only.
Stick your floated div/span before the description text?
I believe HTML works for forum descriptions, so stick it there?
