GZip Compression

Is it recommended to enable GZip Compression in Server and Optimization Options?

I would recommend GZip compression as it usually improves page loading times for users.  If the webserver is already doing it though (eg mod_deflate) then it shouldn't be enabled.

If in doubt, turn it on unless your host is complaining about you using too much load, in which case, turn it off.
