I have a project I am currently trying to get rolling here: <snip>

What I want included:
-Customizable portal page
-Article system
-Blog system with comments
-Social system so people can share posts and articles on users facebook, myspace or whatever.
-Blocks : custom html, php blocks for portal page

Hi Vapor - you might want to have a look at Nickmans mycms from my bbsource and the original kit he forked it from - IP.Content.

Regarding a customisable portal page, the old Advanced portal plug in is very close and combines well with MYBB1.6

we can use xthread for makeing a cms.....
All we have to do is article gallery and if we want to make it as index all we have to do is to add one line in htaccess and it is done...

That's an interesting idea Techu. So say for example on my board where I have several forums for downloads (all using the same set up - so you are saying that I could show the threads from these different forums all in ONE forum using forum display and .htaccess and my Xthreads filters?

I was suggesting that we can use a single forum and can make categories using xthread filter and then if we want that xthread forum to be the index then we can use .htaccess to do that...

I dont know if one can pull things from several forums and put it in one place but we should ask yumi if it can be done or not........
