The one place i worked at for a number of years had a bar as well. During happy hour we would provide free eats. Also would stay and do it on my own time for other occasions as well. I did it as a way of saying thanks to our loyal customers. Same with the people who owned the restaurant. Maybe it is me but i am still missing your point with this analogy. This actually gets to my point of why not sell My Points? That's your big plugin and thus main thing. Understand what i am saying? Charge for that and use the others for a happy hr type thing. The free happy hour food as well serves as a way to show what great food the place had.   Does that make sense?

I suspect we might be on the same page but for whatever reason might be missing it. Again i don't care if you want to make money. That is on You. That is great if you can make a few bucks off of it. My beef is with how it is done at MYBB. Not following the license and such. And YES i know MYBB is as much to blame as well. They should just enforce the license as is and be done with it.

Seriously. Think about this. All you guys would have to do is make it known that if your work is shared elsewhere that they will no longer get support at your site and nor will they be able to download stuff. Yes the GPL says the code must remain open BUT it does not tell you how to run your site. Understand what i am saying? Sure there might be a person who still releases it but i think you know how that will be viewed by others.
