If what you meant is YouTube thumb in Similar Threads block, unfortunately, you need a plugin for that.

I was wondering is there a way to automcatically get the categories on the forumdisplay_threadlisting and other places where there is a Custom search option.

You know use some php code to get the categories listed in the ytgalcat  field?

i have tried everything to add these xthreads but at the custom thread field there are things that i dont understand, i was trying to add the youtube video gallery but i really need some help with on how to install it the right way otherwise i get white pages on it.

im searching anything and i found a website called sharree.com and i want something like that, is it the same code or is it changed completely, cause i want things like that on my forums.

White pages don't tell much.  If you can get PHP error info, it'll tell you more.
You can also just do things one step at a time and find which step breaks things.

I am new to Xthreads and have a problem with uploading videos.
If I enter a link and submit the subject, there is no video in the thread.
   
   

Only in the overview, a thumbnail is displayed.
   

And can I change the size of the thumbnails in the topic overview somewhere? Long texts are cut off at my current size.

Does the video code show up in the thread?  Does the ytvgal_showthread template work?

Change <img> tag in ytvgal_forumdisplay_thread template

No, a video code is not displayed in the thread and the ytvgal_showthread template is working.
