Yes, I thought that - I was considering redoing the tabs to replace the $ variable. I do have jQuery no conflict in the showthread, but not in the editpost thingy.

You don't need it in editpost template, except you have a tabs in your editpost page.
Not quite sure about this, but try to check whether you have this code in the showthread template, (template_prefix_showthread) template if you use template prefix in that forum.

aha - indeed, I was looking in the (prefix)_edit_postbit template.

I don't know if this layout is different enough to justify me sharing it? Its JUST a twist on your postbit tabs.

And back on thread prefixes - I was looking in the old posts and I found this:

But its not really the same. I did try using a theme image like RateU did for forums  in this thread, but I could not get to work.

I'm sorry, Lee. But I'm not quite sure what exactly do you want to do?
Do you mean you want the forum legend per forum but the images can't be displayed?

No I want to have images for prefixes with the images per theme. Those are the methods I was looking at.

I think it can be done by using PHP In Template or Template Conditional plugin.
