Which plugins in the list above not installed in your previous forum?

Those plugins don't really sound like they'd stop template injection from working though...  In fact, I can't think of much that would :/
If you can replicate the problem on a clean install, I can try to trace through it.

it looks like it's working on a clean forum with 0 plugins active except for xthreads:

I'm going to redo the modification on my live site to see if it may be an error on my part.

edit-
just deleted everything I did on my live site and reapplied all the modifications with no change in results.

So did you find the root cause of it?  Can you copy modifications from your live site onto your test one to see what's causing the problem?

nope, didn't find the cause.  I installed every plugin that's on my live site over to my test site and the video gallery is still working on the test site, but not on the live site.

I thought it may of been a theme issue, but the video gallery works fine on the test site with the same theme the live site uses.

maybe in the live forum you can look in the file verification and see if any show up there that dont show up on the test site?

ok, I ran it on both and it found 4 changed files so I copied them from the live site to the test site and the gallery still works fine on the test site.
