Adding custom page to who's online list

hey there,

I've been searching for a while now on how to make custom pages show up in the who's online list. right it it shows "unknown location". i found two tutorials for this, but they are very outdated from 2009.

does anyone know of any recent tutorials on how to do this? or maybe know themselves?

Only way is through modifying code (unless the plugin itself provides some way to do this).
