No Special Characters in Usernames
Author Message
This is a fairly useless plugin.  It just disallows usernames which have characters other than a-z, 0-9 and _ in them (can allow more characters by changing the setting under "User Registration and Profile Options").
I recall someone requesting this, which is why I made it.

Otherwise, just posting it here to increase my post count.

RE: No Special Characters in Usernames
Did you try to login using username: u1 (without spaces at the end of the username)?

I think MyBB auto trims the usernames.

Yes. That is what I mean, Yumi. Even though we add some spaces at the end of the username in the registration page, the spaces won't be added as characters of the username. So, in my personal opinion, it's not a bug of this plugin (it's only my personal opinion).

Thanks.
Can you tell me whether the above change fixes it?

Does not do so here.
Some things to look at:
- your forum's character encoding should be UTF-8
- you haven't entered any "special" characters (ASCII > 127) in the 'Allowed Special Characters' text box
