RE: Gallery
Hmm, that is looking like a really neat solution - so you could use the text input and link to say Photobucket thumbs. Cool.

RE: Gallery
I think using multiple images isn't suitable for gallery forum?

But yes, you can add multiple file. Just create another file input type field.

Title: Image
Key: gal_img
Applicable Forums: select the gallery forum you just added in the step above
Input Field Type: File
Valid File Extensions: gif|png|jpg|jpeg|jpe
Maximum File Size: 2097152 [2MB; change if desired]
Editable by / Required Field?: Everyone (required)
Only accept uploaded images: yes
Image Thumbnail Generation: 160x120|320x240

Please make sure you put a different Key for other file input fields, like gal_img2, gal_img3.

So, I think, you can upload that file, but the thumbnail won't be created.

What do you mean by "gallery in index"?

RE: Gallery
If you mean that some images displayed in your forum index page, you need a plugin for that.

If you mean that you want it in a "separate" page, and the forum not displayed in forumbit, you can hide the forum (set Hide Forum = Yes in edit forum setting), and add the forum link manually in your header template.

RateU - I have your attachments gallery that  you made for me long ago. I guess it could be adapted for index? It also now updates every 30 seconds or so via aAjax...... if you have no objection I can make it available for download?

JPEG EXIF data isn't added, used or cared about by this plugin at all.  And I don't think PHP's GD supports doing that either.
If the uploaded picture has it, it'll won't be removed, though I don't think thumbnails will carry EXIF data.
