Extend Xthreads to Calendar and forums?

can Xthreads be extended to the

1. Events in Calendar

2. and custom fields for the forums?

If I would like to add a forum image for each forum? and use that image in the templates.

XThreads wasn't really designed for this, though it may be possible depending on where you want this 'forum image'.
For example, using template overrides via the template prefix, or maybe inserting a dummy setting and referencing it from a template.

I recall a number of plugins which already do that for you.  Try doing a search.
