I can see where you got that from, however that's not working correctly. It does show the field, but it also shows everything from my signature to the Email/PM/Website/Find/Edit/Delete/Reply/Quote/Report toolbar. Even in the default theme; please see screenshot.

EDIT: I can confirm this only occurs in threads where fields are due to display. Everything else is unaffected.

You'll need to check all the appropriate templates and whether they contain the right code.

There's a list of template modifications here.  For your case, ensure that showthread_threadfields and showthread_threadfield_row don't contain unnecessary stuff.
