Trivia Forum
I have an idea for a trivia forum...question is, can XThreads  do this:

One of my mods will post a trivia question and we want to be able to have members reply with answers in regular posts BUT the answers need to be hidden from the regular members until the predetermined period is over at which point we would like to unveil all the answers to the public.  First correct answers wins.

We would also like this to include 2 member groups somehow...Members and Vip Members.  Not sure how...but an important part of set up.

So, what do you guys think...is this something XThreads can do or should I look for a plugin?

RE: Trivia Forum
Just use the Yes, moderate new posts setting in Moderation Options setting?

I thought of that, but I had something more fancy in mind..LOL!  I'm just not sure of what...I'm good at thinking up ideas but no so much at implementing them.

Or you could use the custom permissions and select "Can only view own posts" for that particular forum.

RE: Trivia Forum
OK, I created a forum and set it to moderate all replies.  The problem I am facing is that my Mods and super mods may post in this as well.  I need to hide their replies also!  How can I achieve this?

this would make the forum exactly like the "Private Inquiries" forum on the official MyBB forum.

How would I be able to make all posts visible to eveyone after the contest period is up?

RE: Trivia Forum
Just remove the "Can only view own threads" checkmark in the custom permissions settings.

Thats a great idea, but I need to make it so my super mods can make them visible at the end of the contest.

Unfortunately, not possible with the Can only view own threads setting.
But again, if you use that setting, how your members can answer the question while they can't view the thread made by moderator?
I'm sorry if I misunderstand what system you want. And, I'm not too "familiar" with MyBB 1.6 features.
