Bump Thread Plugin

I installed Zinga's Bump Thread plugin but removed the {$bumpthread} bit from showthread template.  I then added the bit to my XThreads Trivia Forum showthread template but it doesn't seem to bump the thread to the top of the New Threads list.  Any ideas how I can make this happen?  Also, is it designed to only show to Admin and Super Mods?

You can use conditionals so its only visible to admins etc.

I will test the bumpthread variable in my test forum

but not to the top of forumdisplay. Thats looking for last post, and the posting date is not changed by this plugin.

For this to work for me, I need it to bump on the new post/today's post list.  That is what most members look at.

Ok, so what we have is a semi-working plugin - you want it to BUMP  AND change last post posting date

I found an old plugin from Zinga for myplaza 1.2. So maybe its possible.....

Haha!  That really made me laugh!  

The reason i was looking for it is to bump the trivia forum that is going to be receiving hidden replies for a week on end.  I though a bump button would be a nice way for me and my mods to kick the trivia question up to the top of the view new posts search without cluttering the topic with "BUMP" posts.

It's not critical...just on my wish list!  LOL

I gave Rocketfish that one x-Treme - but thanks for the link. I guess we would need to change the dateline on the last post record. Thats why I suggested combining it with the bumppost. I am not really sure how to do that - have you managed to edit it?
