Search custom fields

Is it possible to allow the MyBB Search function to search xThreads custom fields?

e.g.

Post content is "xyz"
Custom field (let's say it's "description") content is "abc"

If I search "abc", search.php won't find this thread. This is a bit of a problem when searching within an xThreads forum. Any way to do it?

It's currently not supported.  If you're only using exact value matching, filtering might work.
Otherwise, I've been thinking of supporting it for some time, but there's a bit of difficulty with handling it for forums which don't have the field enabled.

Also search.php is not strong , search for possible short text
& also with little change in search.php search for possible longer text

Is this still the latest answer, 1yr later... ie not possible to do forum search for characters in xthread custom fields ?
