I have been working on a new forum layout - and I am willing to share it, but only if there is interest Smile

I have a preview running in my sandbox -

http://www.leefish.nl/mybb/forum-68.html

Take  look - I have enabled guest posting and rating. The layout validates 100%.

Probable issues
The forum stickies is a plugin based on an XThreads field - like the one RateU showed us in the Display Thread on Portal plugin - I will include it, but I fear it is not optimally coded. Volunteers to check the plugin gratefully accepted.

The feedback comments don't paginate - when you change page it refreshes and takes you back to overview tab.

The layout requires a fair bit of extra css.....
hmmmm...definitely different Smile
LOL - thats like the "Interesting..." hover I have over a one star rating.....
Can this be applied to profile or no?
This style? With the tabs? Yes, I already have it on profile. I also have a neat plugin by RateU that shows selected stuff on profile - its on the uploads tab. You can dig around for it here or he has it on his own site too I think.
Looks good Lee!  Wonder if this could be applied somehow to my Video Gallery makeover request?
Well I had a look at that. I think you will find that you dont really need css in a hard way - try giving the tds in your templates a class like tcat - see what happens.

Oh, and a small thing re this layout (which is totally unrelated to profiles or videos Tongue) - the stickies are sorted on rating - so highest rated first from the ones chosen. In theory, I can set all of the threads in that forum to sticky - then, as there is a limit on the number of stickies shown (settings in ACP) you can make that box the top whatever rated. Or viewed. Or whatever - its a quick change in the plugin.

But seriously, you don't NEED a "video layout" or a "Garage layout" or a Ridiculous sims layout -  its best to see how the examples are made, and then adjust them. For example, in this layout of mine - you can put anything in there. Same for the ones from RateU. You just need to put the custom threadfields in the right place and watch out for jQuery.
Yea 1master1, thats because the validator hates (are you ready) moz stuff for firefox and tomms popup box on the tracker. NONE of that error list is related to the HTML or the performance on the css for the forum setup in the sandbox....

The warnings are cos I can't be bothered to go through the entire global css with a fine tooth comb.

Nice try though Smile
