It's set to Everyone (required).

Your users need to select at least one value before they can submit the thread.
By default it will select the first entry right? Them the user will need to change it.
But if the user don't touch the dropdown it will select the first entry.

If it is set to Everyone (required), there is no (Not set) value there.

It will "select" the first entry if it is set to Everyone (required) and you set the Field Input Height value = 1.
Or, it will select the default entry automatically if you set the Default Value to one of the value list.
Look at my screenshot in the previous post. It is set to Everyone (required), and the Field Input Height is greater than 1.
And look at this screenshot:

The setting for both of the custom thread fields is Everyone (required):
- I put a default value in Default Value textarea in the Package thread fields (in this example, I put Posting Service there). When a user create a new thread, the value will be selected automatically.
- I didn't put a default value in the Default Value textarea in the Rate our Service fields. There is no value selected automatically there when a user post a new thread. They need to select one value there.
Edit:
It is from MyBB 1.61 and XThreads 1.337
Ohh! Got it. Thank you and sorry for taking so long.
No problem. And good luck for your new XThreads application
