Still works like a charm. FYI....thumbshots free thumbnail service works on a limited number of hits. Once you reach your trhreshold it is no longer free, they block the thumb images and ask you to upgrade to the pay service.
Well I argued my point with them because when bots crawl a site or forum and hit the links in the Links page it counts as a hit so any forum can reach their threshold in a matter of no time.
So they continued my free service and must have found a way to account for bot hits compared to user hits. Biggrin

Just thought you all might want to know that little tidbit in case your "thumbs get cut off" LOL

Hi guys...is there an easy way to replace the thumbnails with an image?  My thumbs are all gone again!

We will use one forum only for our Link Directory.

Hi RateU, is it possible to have number of threads (called links in the image) for each category if you use one forum only?

Like this:

Search engine has 1 links, MyBB Forum has 3 links etc (links = threads).

Thanks
No, you'll need separate forums for that.
Would there be a way to edit the URL regex and add something that finds and disallows specific words within the URL, for example "porn".
Hi RateU,
(Using example 1)
Is it possible to use new thread button in main category which automatically adds thread in subforum which is selected as a custom thread field ?
I'm afraid that you can't do that with the nature of newthread and how the post will be processed by MyBB. It needs the forum id, which is already supplied by the URL.

If what you want is your users can create new thread directly from the main category without having to enter the subforum first, alternatively you can create a drop down menu in the main category template manually. Each item inside the drop down menu is linked to new thread page of each subforum.

Or, create the new thread link inside the (template_prefix_)forumbit_depth2_forum template, so it will be displayed in each subforum. You can use {$forum['fid']} to get the forum id.

I am thinking is it possible if I can use a combination of custom thread field and moderator tools so that the threads will moved to forum once created in the main category based on the thread field?
Do you mean by the combination is using the custom thread field as forum destination where the thread should be moved?
If so, I thought about it. Unfortunately, you need an additional custom plugin for it (if you don't mind).

Yes that is fine, but there is no way using the existing system ?
